The reason that you rarely hear a republican talk about the tax cuts is becuase they are not popular. People realize that 90% of the tax break went to corporations and the 1% while very little (if any) trickled down to them and THAT pittance isn't even permanent.

Corporations were given huge tax breaks with the promise (by republicans) that they would use that money to invest more in their workers.

They haven't. They never intended to. End of story.

Actually, those tax cuts will allow us to keep more of our money.

Lets have sustained MEDIAN real income growth of at least 3% annually for at least 5 years before popping the champagne. People definitely need that in order to pay for reduced Medicare and SS funding from the tax cuts.

Standard deductions ensure that all taxpayers have at least some income that is not subject to federal income tax. Standard deductions generally increase each year due to inflation. Essential the standard deduction is the minimum amount the gov't says is needed to live on before you can afford to give the gov't money.

Before the Trump tax plan, the standard deduction was extremely low, but the cost of living rose dramatically. The standard deduction didn't stay in line with the cost of living. A standard deduction increase was needed.

Putting a cap on the amount that can be deducted for SALT taxes (people who can afford to live in expensive, highly taxed cities as well as rich people who live in mansions) will no longer be able to reduce their fed taxes by writing off all their SALT taxes.

Totally agree. WAGE GROWTH for the middle class is what's needed. And it still ain't happening.

Keep the illegals coming in and those wages won't grow. Supply and demand, employers are only going to pay what they have to and if the supply side is on their side, it will keep wages down. You should know that.

But illegal immigration is down substantially.

And your theory would mean that most jobs are unskilled labor jobs.

Wage growth in professional jobs has not grown either.

And those wages aren't impacted by your theory.

By this logic, wages should be skyrocketing in countries with declining work forces. Is that the case? No, its not.

Wages will be kept down when workers dont have leverage over the employer as a result of destroyed unions and no national health care system which keeps workers chained to the job. Paul Ryan was refreshingly open about this. He said he feared that providing health care as a right to the American people would make workers less obedient and more secure. And this is a disaster for employers who want worker slaves that feel forced to accept everything.

YOU should know it's not the immigrant boogeyman that's keeping wages for the middle class down. Those folks aren't taking MY kind of jobs. That's just your boot licking excuse for the corporate overlords.

It's not Trumps fault your Democrat politicians think your a never ending supply of money. you'd be wiser to put the blame where it belongs and get them under control.
What taxes did Obama raise that I cheered?
