Well... didn't they just do that for child pornography? ...which resulted in Craigslist shutting down a portion of personal ads that they used to post?

That was a huge over reaction. Do you think the people that posted there aren't posting elsewhere now?

Some are... some aren't.

It's a risk by those companies who choose to continue to post those ads. Some companies like Craigslist did not want to take the risk.

No one's freedom was reduced. But the exposure to risk/lawsuits to post that information (which facilitates criminal behavior) just got higher. Why not do the same with terrorist propaganda?
