Without; an estimate of number of school entrances in the US, the qualifications and pay for these 'armed guards, total cost, and how it will be paid for, this is just another half-baked right wing idea.
Eastside High in Patterson, NJ had Principal Joe Clark lock the doors, so drug dealers could not get in. Locks work. Tons of doors. Big school.
Doors can still be opened from inside only during an emergency.
Maybe his school was all contained in one building? Or the entire school enclosed? That'd work. My high school wasn't at all like that. Nor was the one I visited. Just too spread out.
If you think the media doesn’t cheer when there are dead children, you have no idea about media business. A slow night is a death sentence. If they aren’t so obsessed with dead children, why do they go bananas every time there are dead children?

I didn't know there was a volcano eruption in hawaii... radio and local TV when I do have time to watch TV go on and on about shootings though.
It's like when I lived back in NY.
Local news was all doom and gloom.
Another corrupt politician acquitted of charges.
Another heroin overdose.
Another tax hike.
Another DWI fatality involving highschoolers...
Eventually you just change the channel or shut it off completely.
Or move to Florida and bust a gut at another Florida man antic every night.
The sun is bright down here. Criminals... not so much...
