Turns out the "spy" is a University of Cambridge professor with widely-reported and long-standing ties to American and British intelligence who served in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations, who met with campaign staff members such as Papadopoulos, and Page.

No one was coerced or tricked into meeting with him and anyone who didn't know who Stefan Halper was, could easily Google his name to get up to speed.

He did not have a job in the Trump campaign. (Though if he had tried, it would have been a piece of cake. Everyone else who wandered through was given a spot on the team.)

This is the "spy" who was supposedly planted on the team?

Really?

My money was on Hope Hicks being the spy.

Or Stephen Miller.

Or would all the FBI haters who cannot read prefer FBI stop investigating any possible treasonous activity entirely?

I've come to understand that the use of "nothing burger" is another way of saying "I can't factually rebut what is being said". Plus, it makes things better if what is said in ALL CAPS or bold.

Posting it in several different threads makes is seem important too.

The 73-year-old academic reportedly has deep ties to American and British intelligence, having served in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations, the New York Post reported.
President Trump tweeted Friday that confirmation of an FBI plant in his campaign would become the nation's "all time biggest political scandal."

Sure hope they get to the bottom of all this. More than Nixon did for sure.

Facts don't matter with Trump or his fan base. An informant is someone who sees something they thing the FBI should check out and a plant is someone on the payroll of the FBI. Neither one is illegal. And given what we know now about Manafort and friends there was good reason to be concerned.

Trump and his base do not know the difference between plant and informant. Funny.

It would be funny if they weren't burning up a lot of time and money on crap like this when our infrastructure is falling apart and we have other important business the president SHOULD be spending this time on.
