I have never understood why sports teams need to hire a group of women and force them to shake their asses while wearing the equivalent of a bra and panties to give some men in the crowd something to leer at.

Surely you realize by now that 'sex sells'...?

Besides that, why do you think the women would take part, especially when they are not paid a dime to be a cheerleader (even at the pro level), its really all about the perks.

Because it is a male dominated crowd. Not that hard to understand at all. Same with the ring girls in boxing and the UFC. It's what guys like.
