the EPA banned the Associated Press, E&E Environmental news, and CNN from attending the briefing.
Liberals keep telling me that if they ban "assault rifles", they haven't banned ALL firearms, so this means they have NOT violated the 2nd amendment since we can still buy some firearms.
I'm waiting for those same liberals to announce that since the EPA only banned certain "news" organizations, but not all of them, they have NOT violated the 1st amendment's protection of freedom of the press since we can still listen to some news organizations.
Anybody want to set up a pool on when they will announce that?
Wow. Totalitarianism, here we come. Next this administration will require a signed promise that a reporter will only write positive things and/or ask softball questions that were submitted and approved ahead of time, or they will have their credentials revoked.
This is a very disturbing precedent being set here.
The Trump apologists won't see it that way. They're too far gone. It's going to be up to us to fix this country after 2020.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of news organizations in the country.
But there are only about 30 chairs in the White House briefing room. So a maximum of 30-some news organizations can get in. All the rest have to be told, they can't get in.
Is there some reason why CNN should get preference over, say, the San Diego Union-Tribune? Or KOA radio in Denver?
Time for CNN to step aside and wait their turn, as all the others have been patiently waiting.
BTW, have the others ever claimed that keeping them out of the room, violates the 1st amendment?
WOW ! How many excuses will Trump supporters stoop to?
Wait until he takes your guns too......
It's not an excuse; it's the Constitution. The 1st Amendment Freedom of the Press does not create or guarantee the right to access to any information or entity, public or private. Freedom of the Press only guarantees the right to right print articles or editorial content free of government interference.
The sole purpose of Freedom of the Press is to prevent things like President Lincoln from shutting down newspapers and imprisoning newspaper editors who disagree with his policies.
Obviously, it didn't work, since Lincoln shut down newspapers and imprisoned editors who opposed the Civil War.
And, I'm not a Trump supporter, nor did I vote for him.
What people seem to be forgetting is that any given watershed may affect many states. It's all well and good to say that if Republican Wisconsin wants to poison their own water, that's their problem, but it misses the point that when Wisconsin posions its own water, it is also poisoning Minnesota's water. And Iowa's. And Missouri's. And Illinois'. And Mississippi's, and Arkansas', and Louisiana's, and Tennessee's, and so forth. This is why we have a federal EPA.
bottoms up!

With all due respect, you have no idea what you talking about. If Donald Trump did not allow them to report on this, or took over their actual networks and television stations like they did in Venezuela, you know that socialist bastion that you leftists love, then you have Freedom of Press issues. They don't have a right to be present everywhere. But they can still report on it and hate him as much as they always have and you guys do.
Baby steps....
Taken not very long for Trump to start hatcheting freedom of the press.
Today CNN Kattie.
Tomorrow or next week.....who???
