They are kneeling. I think you may be in the wrong thread. Try again.

Working for the NFL requires you to do XYZ, if you don't do it you get fined or fired. The player accepted the working terms. Player 1 doesn't do Y, he will get fined, fired, or he can quit and find another job. Maybe the XFL doesn't have the same requirement, so he can go work there.

Their business, their rules of conduct for their employees.

Nothing more to say on the matter.

Before all this kneeling crap started they were standing. The kneeling took it to a political level. I’m in the right thread so no need to be condescending.

Bringing the military in it made it political.

The military isn't a business.

It was an empty gesture done for attention.

Fittingly, it will go away as fast as it came.

Fans will no longer be held hostage over divisive political antics just to watch a football game. If you have a problem with police, be sure to never call them when you need something.

I'm willing to bet some 'heroes' are now planning to do mass kneelings as a form of 'civil disobedience' (in their self inflated eyes, not ours).

Never underestimate the stupidity of overpaid multimillionaires who've done nothing more world changing in their lives than don a pair of cleats and play a game of football.

This. Historically speaking the military hasn't been a major part of American life. Prior to WW2 we maintained a small but professional military. Its only been within the last 60 years, and intensely within the last 20 years where the military has become a centerpiece to American identity. I personally find this worrying.
