You're making my point for me. Federal funding goes to pay for Federal facilities, etc. It's not like states are getting extra money from the Fed Gov for state spending.

That is what the individual you are responding to is talking about.
Figure 1 displays federal spending per person (capita) by state:


Highest: 1. Virginia
2. Maryland
3. Alaska
4. Hawaii
5. New Mexico
6. Connecticut


It has to do with spending on Federal facilities, etc., in each state, not on states' spending

responsibilities.

What I said when this first came out about those high tax state whining about having to ACTUALLY PAY their local property taxes WITHOUT getting a federal deduction for them.
