Seems to me the way Trump and fans jumped back into the party with the North Koreas after the summit was called off that they want this meeting even more than the North Koreans.
So who is holding the upper hand?
I'd say Kim and Trump both NEED this.
That's how it works. Trump thinks he has the upper hand and Kim thinks he has the upper hand.
South Korea, Japan are just praying the two of them can play each other well enough to get some kind of 'peace' treaty.
Excellent, talking is always good. Since Trump is not beholden to the "proper " ways of DC diplomacy he may be one of the few American presidents with the ability to crack the door open with NK. But then what? Trump will initially demand total denuclearization, NK as a proud sovereign nation will say no. Trump's a skilled negotiator and he knows this. So what will Trump offer NK.
