Good point.
All fake.
Clean as whistles those Chicago police

Several Chicago police officers have been stripped of their powers amid a federal investigation, according to Chicago Tribune sources

A federal source confirmed the existence of an investigation dating back to early 2017.

In recent years, other scandals have plagued the department. In 2006, 12 officers led by Jerome Finnegan were convicted in connection with the now disbanded Special Operations Unit. The officers were found guilty of shaking down drug dealers and law abiding citizens during routine traffic stops.

Presently the city is dealing with disgraced former Chicago Police Department Sergeant Ronald Watts and his crew who were found guilty of confiscating drug money and framing as many 20 individuals who have their convictions vacated by Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx

Baltimore Police officers found guilty of racketeering, robbery in Gun Trace Task Force corruption case - Baltimore Sun
Quote:
Detectives Daniel T. Hersl, 48, and Marcus R. Taylor, 31, were found guilty of racketeering, racketeering conspiracy and robbery. Prosecutors said they and their comrades on the Gun Trace Task Force had acted as “both cops and robbers,” using the power of their badges to steal large sums of money from residents under the guise of police work.

Every now and then there will be an isolated instance of a bad cop. But actually it’s shocking how few bad cops there are given the fact that they have to attempt to enforce the law in environments of mayhem, chaos, gang violence, drug violence, and general lawlessness. They should all go on strike and leave the cop-hating people to defend themselves. Then we’d see a change in tune.

Anyway we are getting off topic. Most cops are good. All criminals are bad. The prisons are filled with people who received trials and were convicted of crimes. They are where they belong. And if we lead the world in incarceration, then good for us. That means we don’t put up with thugs. The NFL players who decide to act against their fellow players, their employers, their union, and their very honor, should be summarily fired. That may not be possible due to stupid union rules designed to PROTECT AND SANCTIFY MEDIOCRITY, but that is what should be done. It should start with suspending pay for each game where a player engages in personal political protest on company time and at company locations. Followed by double pay suspension for a second offense. Followed by kicking them right to the curb for strike three. That’s the only way to stop this immoral and inane conduct. There is no freedom of speech at work. By agreeing to be employed, you agree to conduct yourself according to your employer’s wishes, and to help promote the business. The NFL kneelers are acting against their employers, and are instead coming down on the side of crime. Bad idea. They need some education in the incredible adversity under which the police are forced to work. And they need to align themselves with good, not evil.

Jehovah witnesses don’t salute the flag or stand for the pledge of allegiance. This is not a communist country yet. Trump is trying but for now his followers need to realize we have the right to protest. Those football players aren’t hurting anybody. They are expressing themselves. This is another issue Trump got involved in for his followers at his rallies. Anything for some angry tweets. He acts so outraged. What a clown...

They are aligning themselves against bad cops

It's pathetic how many think that people aligning themselves against bad cops are a bigger issue than the bad cops themselves.

Now how many people have proposed punishments for people calling out bad cops and note how many people have proposed punishments for the bad cops themselves.

Note how many people who characterize NFL players as lawless wife beaters but who never say a word about the police.

Research suggests that family violence is two to four times higher in the law-enforcement community than in the general population.
Note how many people will call the DOJ corrupt but refuse to believe that the police could be corrupt

Isn't saying the pledge and standing part of their job too? Who is their employer? Looking at this picture there is one congressman standing but going through a bunch of papers as well.

This is true. I have worked with JW staff in public schools. They told me their religion considers saying the pledge to be idolatry; worshiping a false god (the flag).

Although this gets into religious freedom, what about the issue of employment many posters have mentioned relative to football players. Is standing/saying the pledge part of a teacher's job? Who is paying their salaries? Taxpayers, not a private organization like the NFL. One JW classroom aide would go to the back of the room during the pledge and take out supplies for the day. Not doing her job?

Saying the pledge was not in any contract I have ever seen. In fact, we were given two forms to sign. One swore allegiance to the US Constitution and the other to the State's Constitution. It was OPTIONAL for both. My guess is that the JW staff did not sign either one.
