The redactions seem to have been to avoid embarrassment. Latest tidbit for those of you so concerned about what officials are spending for furniture:
In a letter sent to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein Wednesday, Sen. Chuck Grassley revealed that the FBI had redacted the cost of the table [$70,000] from a document he and his fellow members of the committee requested to see. Grassley said many of the redactions within the documents made no sense, nor were they made to protect national security secrets.
Congress's job is to oversee such spending. Obviously lots of liberals (in both parties) have gotten into the habit of using laws meant to protect our national security, to protect their own butts instead, redacting things that clearly have nothing to do with national security but which simply prevent Congress from doing its job.
Not a single declassified document/redaction thus far has had any national security implications. It could change of course, but at this point every single one has simply been to save the FBI embarrassment. Which of course only makes them look more crooked and Trump more right.

but if it continues year after year, even as different presidents are elected, and congress still refuses to deal with this sort of thing...eventually its up to the people, its up to us to step in and strip them of their power. The constitution gives us the right and even the duty to do so. Refusing to do this has its own implications as well.

Clearly the bipartisan Swamp defines National Security as “save my hiney”
It has built in retractable chairs and whoopee cushions with the automatic wipe feature.
