This is a really well-written article discussing how pathetic, scary, and low information the dem party and it’s hyperpartisan media have become written by a very discouraged moderate democrat.
This must be the third article in a week I’ve read from a democrat decrying what’s happening to the dumbing down, hypocrisy, and corruption of the party.
she's gonna be called all sorts of nasty names by her fellow democrats for this one.
"Meanwhile, my fellow Democrats aren’t in a good spot: They are increasingly becoming the kind of low-information voters they despise and think are only on the other side. For instance, a 2017 poll showed that a majority of Democrats (52 percent) believed Russia tampered with vote tallies in the 2016 election to help elect Trump, despite no evidence. That is akin to 69 percent of Americans believing in September 2003 that Saddam Hussein was involved in the 9/11 attacks."
"Maybe I’m not a good enough Democrat, but I’m far more troubled by what is happening to Trump than by Trump himself."

Because you only read The Federalist and similar media. That's what happens they all sound the same after awhile.
Exactly.
While there is some truth to the claim that Democratic leadership is somewhat lost, and they need to reign in the extremists, all that pales in comparison to the lunacy of the far-right.
Complaining about the Democrats and their lack of leadership while supporting Trump is like complaining about a guy who has a glass of wine once a week while being hammered on cheap beer every night.
I'm not going to trash her, it's her opinion. But her job is to write opinion pieces for The Tennessean and the Federalist has picked her up. Both right leaning media sites. She believes in what are essentially conspiracy theories right now (the Deep State). I don't care if she claims to be a Democrat. It only proves that all Democrats (or Liberals as you say here) are not stuck in groupthink like the Trump supporters are.
If she believes it, she believes it but she hasn't put anything on that opinion piece that doesn't sound like something on of our four favorite posters here put up every day.

An online poll of 500 self identified Democrats, that didn't even have a "unsure/don't know" option.
If you want to talk about a low-information voter, this woman fits the bill.
Her follow up Paragraph is even worse, and reads like it was written by some of City-Data's finest:

Further, many of my Democratic friends are in the dark about many of the smaller events and facts surrounding the Mueller investigation. They don’t know, for instance, that a federal judge, T. S. Ellis, rebuked Mueller for trying to target Trump. They don’t know that one of the Russian companies Mueller indicted for tampering in the 2016 election, Concord Catering, didn’t exist at the time of the election, and that when they showed up in court to contest the charges, Mueller was unprepared to proceed with the case.
None of these points mean anything. We have all heard about them, but they are blown up as something of value by Trumkins who are deperate for any win they can get. These weren't wins, they were the equivalent of a 3 yard run on 1st and 50.
I've been making this argument for a long time. (Except for the part about Venezuela. The only reason we aren't Venezuela is because we can print money)
