I was just reading on Drudge where in London they arrested, convicted, sentenced and jailed( in a day), and then imposed a media blackout on Tommy Robinson, a citizen journalist and activist who was reporting on moslem immigrant violence. This makes North Korea and China look like champions of freedom.
How can they do something this fascist and not have the world condemn them? What is the problem with a concerned citizen calling attention to crimes committed by anyone or a group of immigrants. I guess the government wants to avoid admitting its guilt in creating a crisis and putting its citizens at risk.
First count dankula, and now Tommy Robinson. This is really absurd.

He wasn't arrested for his views. He was already given a suspended sentence for filming in the courtroom, prohibited under UK law. Now he's arrested for livestreaming outside a courtroom (also a UK law violation).

There are reportng restrictions on certain cases, due to the annonymity of the victim.
The laws about discussing cases relate to sub judice, and in the UK and other countries you are innocent until proven guilty, and we do not encourage trial by media or social media.
In England and Wales, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Canada, Sri Lanka, and Israel it is generally considered inappropriate to comment publicly on cases sub judice, which can be an offence in itself, leading to contempt of court proceedings. This is particularly true in criminal cases, where publicly discussing cases sub judice may constitute interference with due process.
So exactly the same laws apply to America's northern neighbour Canada.
In Scotland, the law is different, but the practice of respecting anonymity is the same.
Whilst out of court statements in the US are subject to State Rules and Professional Conduct rules governing attorneys.
Quote:
In the United States, there are First Amendment concerns about stifling the right of free speech which prevent such tight restrictions on comments sub judice. However, State Rules of Professional Conduct governing attorneys often place restrictions on the out-of-court statements an attorney may make regarding an ongoing case.
Furthermore, there are still protections for criminal defendants, and those convicted in an atmosphere of a media circus have had their convictions overturned for a fairer trial. One example is the murder conviction of Sam Sheppard
As for being secret you can read most cases on line including Stephen Yaxley-Lennon's (Tommy Robinsons) contempt case which resulted in a suspended sentence, and during which he was warned not to film inside courts ot the precincts outside of courts, as it is illegal to film those involved in legal cases entering or leaving court under the 1925 Criminal Justice Act, whilst disturbing a court is contempt and there are also laws such as sub judice that apply to on-going cases.
Robinson has ignored Judge Norton's advice on a number of occasions by live steaming outside the Courts and making videos labelling the accussed paedophiles before the court has found them guilty of anything.
In terms of Breach of the Peace the Law states the police can arrest someone to prevent a possible breach of the peace from happening, and it should be noted that Judge was photographed with police in Leeds watching Robinson from the Court window.
It was the Court which took issue and why Robinson's live streaming and that is why he was brought before the Judge who allegedly according to on-line reports jailed Robinson for contempt for a seconf time, with 10 months added to the three months he was given by Judge Norton, making 13 months in all.

As for Tommy Robinson, threatening to find the Head of Scotland Yard's Counter Terrorism Command Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley was not exactly the smartest of moves.
Islam is a cancer spreading across the face of the earth. It leads people to behave like insects and adopt a hive mentality.
This is what Islam does. It’s all it does. Once a person accepts “the prophet” there’s no turning back. They can’t be bargained with. They can’t be reasoned with. And they absolutely will not stop until freedom of thought and action are destroyed.
The same is true for fundamentalist Christianity, which currently infects a significant portion of the US population.

You want to sanction and boycott Great Britain?
LOL.
For what? Running it's country according to it's own rules?
What's it got to do with you or anyone else in the US?
You want to control Great Britain now?
It's not just Islam they are censoring criticism about. I saw with my own eyes a Tweet on Twitter from a police department in the UK telling people to be careful what they say about the Alfie Evans incident while it was going down.
Ooooh a new target of hate for righties, lets put the hate on Great Britain
Will that include Scotland/Ireland and Wales?
Totally understandable and expected; they've got to do this stuff to deflect from the clusterflop America has become in all metrics of measurement the rest of the world takes for granted.
How do you explain the fact of more innocent people being, without any trial at all, summarily executed by cops in the U.S. in numbers higher than terrorists are killing people in Europe? How do you explain the racial component of that situation? Certainly far higher than any Brits in any number being perceived as denied their rights to fair hearing.
How do you explain this latest example of phoney oooterage on the part of a society totally ignoring more rapes occurring in the U.S. than committed by the chosen boogymen of today over there. That's just the rapes that are reported with their own FBI suggesting 60% go unreported in America.
How do you explain sexual slavery, and human trafficking for that purpose, is still an epidemic in the U.S.
Answer: YOU CAN'T!!!
Sooooo instead.......... "oh, look over there".
