If Mueller has ventured away from any Russia investigation and into other matters he should oversee that investigation.
Sessions was not involved with any Russians. He should have the ability to do his job.
A) Multiple tiems before Congress he "forgot" meeting with russians during the campaign.
b) He was a member or at the least a very close part of the Trump campaign.
The second is the strongest reason for recusal. Sessions himself cited a law requiring him to recuse.
Trump should just fire Sessions. It's ludicrous that he didn't tell Trump he was going to recuse himself when he was being considered for his position. He should have been fired the moment he recused himself.

Lawyers recusing themselves is a common occurrence. If Trump wanted to control the investigation (which anyone should agree he should not) and he did not bring that up with Sessions then he is a fool.

After he recused himself he should have been fired, and should be fired now.

Trump firing someone for doing the right thing would hardly be a surprise.
