Nothing wrong with the occasional failure. Failing, and learning from the mistakes, makes leaders better.
Yeah, that's all lovely and dandy when applied to his personal business exploits, but the United States should not be treated as a experimental playground he can feel free to wreck.
President Donald Trump is hoping to block German luxury carmakers from the U.S. market, according to an exclusive report by German magazine WirtschaftsWoche.
Citing several unnamed U.S. and European diplomats, the weekly business magazine reported that Trump told French President Emmanuel Macron last month he would maintain his trade policy with the aim of stopping Mercedes-Benz models from driving down Fifth Avenue in New York. The report didn't give any further details on what policies would be used to effectively ban the premium carmakers.
What evidence is there he would care about "americans" he is already raising prices on said americans with tariffs (taxes).
And German auto manufacturers import fewer car to the US than they build in the US and export globally.
Trump is an economic ignoramus.
Another blatant lie in an anti-Trump thread. It's become par for the course here.
Obviously Trump does not want to stop imports of cars from Germany. What he wants is for them to manufacture in the U.S. or pay the agreed upon import tariffs, not avoid them by slipping their cars in through Mexico & Canada.
What will now happen is a race between the nations themselves & the auto manufacturers to negotiate a better deal. If Germany fails to negotiate a new deal with the U.S., one where they pay the already existing import tariffs, then German auto makers will simply build new plants, hire & manufacture in the U.S., costing Germany jobs & revenue. That means Germany will either have to let them go, or start paying their fair share.
I suspect Germany agreeing to get on board with Trump's plan for Iran & not trade with Iran would also help their cause.

They already do. 110K employees, 900K cars. You comprehend like Cheeto vonTinyhands does. But added bonus, he just screwed them too by raising the cost of their raw materials. So ze Germanz are gonna get it twice.
