Julie Kelly at American Greatness has a great story
"Hey, what’s up. Long time no talk.
I think the last civil conversations we had occurred just days before November 8, 2016. You were supremely confident Hillary Clinton would win the presidential election; you voted for her with glee. As a lifelong Republican, I bit down hard and cast my vote for Donald Trump. Then the unimaginable happened. He won.

I've been more wondering what happened to the brains of friends and relatives who would vote for a con man like Trump. The leftist knee jerkers living in the bubble of Park Slope who I know I'm not surprised over their reaction. What I am surprised about are the people who are close to me and who, and despite being fans of Howard Stern and Real Housewives, I thought were capable of separating despicable reality TV stars who are caricatures of human beings from reality.
They then cast a vote for a despicable reality TV star who is a caricature of a human being.
The author was upset at personal attacks so they believe the answer to that is personal attacks? This does pretty well define the majority of our politics today.
Personal attacks aside, everything she stated is true. The left voted for Hillary and she lost, even though never did they think she could lose. The left lost their minds. Next?

(D)'s voted for Hillary. The "left" isn't pro-wall street, pro war like Hillary.
We have relatives on my husbands side (and few on mine), who are polar opposites of us politically. Thankfully, they live in different states. I just can’t even be around them anymore, and it’s too bad, because the older generation is dying off and there is nobody on my husbands side to talk to. Thankfully, there are still family members on my side who share our views.

Given the choices, the left did vote for Hillary. I'm not talking about just radical foaming at the mouth anarchists. She's left on more than a few issues and we all know that otherwise she'd be running on the Republican ticket.
