The problem is that he may very well be around for quite a while even into a second term. The majority of people who identify as Republican still support him. He has a complicit Republican majority in Congress. He has his own national media outlet Fox News spouting the party line.
Into a second presidential run Russia and every other country in the world who wants favors with him will supply cash and election meddling. His attacks against the DOJ resonate with his base. And it’s clear he will use his executive pardoning power.
