I am curious why the OP supports the elimination of fed gov jobs but thinks the military should get larger. The military is the epitome of an overgrown, bloated, budget busting waste of resources. The US military could be cut in half and still be larger than we will ever need.

Because soldiers are heroes but the people that support the soldiers and make sure they have equipment and supplies are the swamp.

Reduce federal government, *including* military (which is a part of Big Government).

A typical liberal response. "The Federal government has gradually taken over more and more, getting people addicted to liberalism, wealth redistribution, govt "freebies" and other unconstitutional things. Here, I'll list a few for you. And now we will hold you hostage, threatening to take away what we addicted you to and suddenly make you suffer the full withdrawal effects, unless you toe the line and pay $billions for its continuance."

These people are SO predictable.

Because service members are usually men, overwhelmingly rural and largely uneducated. Because the federal government is not allowed to discriminate, it hires a much higher percentage of women and minorities than the private sector. Make no mistake conservatives know this.
