Rhonda Hart, whose daughter, Kimberly Vaughan, was among eight students who died in the shooting last month, told The Associated Press her conversation with Trump “was like talking to a toddler.”

According to Hart, Trump repeatedly brought up arming teachers, a policy proposal he has frequently promoted after school shootings.

When Trump is reading from a script he sounds like an awkward third grader reading his book report in front of the class and when he off-script, he sounds like a moron. This woman was too kind when she said that he sounded like a toddler.

Jerry Lewis is wacky. Wood Woodpecker is wacky.
Telling parents that their children's killer is wacky is beyond the pale.
Trump is a sociopath.

“He [Trump] kept calling him [the shooter] this wacky kid who was wearing a wacky trench coat,” says Hart, whose 14-year-old daughter, Kimberly Vaughan, was fatally shot along with nine others in the May 18 attack in Galveston County.

Describing the suspect as “wacky” to the parents of the children he murdered and the people who were lucky enough to survive the shooting is obviously disrespectful, but that is par for the course for Trump.

That is the best one can expect from one with such a limited vocabulary who does not truly feel empathy.

From the same AP story, Pamela Stanich (who lost son Jared Black) had this to say:

Trump “met with us privately and showed sincerity, compassion, and concern on making our schools safer across the nation,” she wrote in a Facebook post after the meeting. “He spent time talking to the survivors and asking on what happened and what would have made a difference. Changes are coming for the good. Thank you Mr. Trump.”

I'm glad one parent got some comfort from Trump. Whatever she needs to heal.

How fitting for Trump...the anagram for STD's...which in managing to avoid, Cadet Bone Spurs refers to as fighting his personal Viet Nam War.

Just another moronic statement from the birther-in-thief.

Do you really think you know President Trump well enough to make a statement about his not feeling true empathy? I doubt it but maybe since you hear enough talking heads say it it must be true.

Trump isn't her personal counselor. What did she really expect. He doesn't hide himself, this is how he is and how he speaks.

If my child had been the victim of a mass school shooting, the very last person I would want to meet with is the POTUS, regardless of who.
