You have no idea what you're talking about. Jeffrey Sachs is a shill for Monsanto--about as far away from socialist as you can get. He runs a UN program that pushes GMO crops as the global solution to hunger, and lobbied Obama for the job of head of the World Bank, when that position opened up, to give himself yet another platform to push GMO products. (Pssst, Jeffrey; it's not a job you apply for. It's strictly by invitation only. Or....not.). There's a lot more to Jeffrey Sachs than meets the eye. Don't let his participation in Columbia's Earth Institute fool you.

Oh rising fuel prices. Thats the sort of thing that happens when the economy booms. In fact rising financial and energy is the sign of an aging bull market. This is to say nothing about the summer driving season. This is basic stuff and you utterly humiliate yourself every time you speak about economics.
We have never stopped being in trade wars, and I have asked the stooges about the embedded taxes in US goods while in VAT systems there are none, leading to rather large de facto tariffs on the US goods.
