"Once it's on the internet, it's there forever." Why did Joy Reid's old blog posts disappear? (racist, military)

We know this racist-bigot-homophobic-xenophobic-hypocrite Leftist's vitriolic posts were revealed recently, but now they have vanished in a puff of smoke (like Joyless should).
Anyone have an explanation, tech or otherwise, i.e. 'This is just another example of the double standard for Left vs Right'?
It's not a double standard. The Internet Archive mostly follows what's in the site's robots.txt file. The exception is government and military sites, and even then they'll remove things if you contact them.
Just found another story to add to her reputation.
“Andre Eggelletion, former lead host of the [Wake Up South Florida] morning show with Reid, recently spoke out about her for the first time in more than a decade, saying Reid created “the most toxic work environment I’ve ever experienced” and threatened him with violence,” reports Fox News.
Stuff can be taken down. Even on here for example. Contact a moderator to take down old posts for example. Or go to YouTube and change comments, delete Facebook comments. Yes site managers have deleted copies of such. But if your someone and want to dig up dirt, you better hope someone in the interwebs screen shot those comments.
I think most people realize that old "if its on the internet, its there forever" is just an old wives tale.
That largely depends, Google likely has cached copy of every page they ever crawled not available to the public. Same thing with the Internet Archive, they likely just marked that as private and still have a copy. Someone mentioned asking to have something taken down here. Typical procedure is to move topics/posts to private "trash" forum or there may be a soft delete feature that simply hides it from public view but can be seen by moderators.
