Finally more progress here...

Trump’s border wall breaks ground in San Diego

A 14-mile section of President Trump’s border wall is under construction in San Diego, at a cost of $147 million.

The money comes from the omnibus spending bill that Trump signed in March. The legislation included a $1.6 billion down payment on the “great, great” wall that – Trump promised throughout his presidential campaign – would stretch across the nation’s southern border.

...
It will replace a long stretch of 8-to-10-foot-high metal fencing that was built in the 1990s out of scrap metal and repurposed steel plates. Rusted and wobbly in places, the old wall has been no match for drug smugglers and human traffickers.

...
Two other border-barrier projects are already in progress – a two-mile stretch of wall in Calexico, Calif., and a 20-mile project in Santa Teresa, New Mex.

Meh.

While protecting the border is obviously a good idea, it is dishonest to pretend that is what the far-right is worried about here. For them, it's about ALL immigrants: they just conveniently pretend they only have a problem with the illegal ones. So, yeah - keep the illegals out, but that was never what this was about anyway... MAWA is the real call, and we all know it.

As for the rest, when are they going to crack down on companies hiring them? Because you're fooling yourself if you think they just wander across the border, and "honest, hardworking, American companies just don't know any better" when they hire illegals.

Finally, putting faith in a real-estate swindler like Trump when it comes to anything involve property and construction work seems like a really bad idea.

NOTHING NEW HERE. Replacing rusted out old crap that has been in place for DECADES. Congress (and I remind you, a GOP Congress) specifically forbids any NEW wall, forbids any new HEIGHT of what had existed, etc. They tied his little hands and he gets NADA. Que lastima

trump is lying to you supporters again, but he knows you can't or won't read the truth. You enable his lying because you can't handle the truth.

"The bollard-style design of the new wall mimics a model already in use in other spots along California’s border with Mexico – not one of the pricey new prototypes that Trump viewed on a visit to California in March."

Yep. Trumpers don't care about facts, so here we go again with them. Sad.
