I will also use different bakers, as I am also nowhere near Colorado.

But I am delighted at still another superb SC ruling.

First the gays
then come Muslims
then the blacks
What a precedent & slippery slope the SC has set today for unfettered discrimination.

So much for separation of church & state.

Well here is the thing. If it is shown he only is against gays marrying, it can be a problem since it is merely discriminatory. If he turns away Christians, he would discriminate against non-Christians or mixed marriages like say a Christian marrying a Jewish person (my brother and his wife). If he turns away adulterers, those who had sex before marriage, and other anti-Christian behavior (which is more or less eye of beholder and not clearly verboten) then maybe, I can believe it is more about Christian beliefs. Why I say this, some Christians used various verses in the good book to support slavery and racism towards blacks.

Does said baker bake cakes for second marriages? Does said baker bake cakes for couples who have had premarital sex? What if the couple cheated with each other while married to others? That baker needs to have staff fully investigating whether their cakes endorse the activities of all marriages, not just gay ones. I'm fine with the ruling, the bakers should be exposed. I'm just really worried about the bakers, they need to make sure all couples are in keeping with their religious beliefs and that could be a full time job in itself. Maybe they need a signed authorization from the church.

Exactly.

The deep, seething hatred most people these days have towards the LGBT community is on full display here. Three years after the SCOTUS ruling legalizing same-sex marriage, hate and rage against anybody not white, straight, and Christian has completely taken over this country.

The one silver lining is I was legitimately worried about a violent uprising among evangelicals if the court ruled in favor of the couple.

Oh please you are not worried for any bakers.

No, it was not superb, it was a punt and a botched punt at that. It merely went over the Civil Rights orginization's ruling and NOT the fact that he could or couldn't be discriminatory towards his customers. You pro-bakers don't get it. The Supreme Court punted and it will take another case like this which WILL happen to cause this modern day Plessy V. Ferguson to be righted by its Brown V. Board.

Sadly, because of the way the Supreme Court ruled, this slippery slope is a distinct possibility. I hate the slippery slope, but it is so fitting with this case. As of right now I can deny a Christian if I am Muslim because they don't believe in Allah and this ruling supports that. Hey, this ruling means I don't have to serve them because it didn't say I couldn't...

When is the last time you saw a violent uprising from Evangelicals?
