To be fair I can see why. They have valid concerns about what to say or if they should say some things to Muellers team, and whats covered by privilege. And that is not their specialty.
But yeah...it seems to be a theme. When Lawyers get lawyers you can reasonably infer something has gone incredibly wrong.

Nah, this is his lawyer for a bunch of real estate deals. And as I recall many of those deals were fraudulent in nature. I'm unsure if the lawyers involved would have known. But what they can or should do is a pretty complex topic from their viewpoint.
