The way I understand it, it Trump pardons Manafort the courts may strike it down because he cannot pardon someone who may testify against him in a criminal case. That would amount to obstruction of justice. If the pardon sticks, there are still state charges. If he was to miraculously escape the state charges and keep the pardon, he could still be compelled to testify before a Grand Jury. He could not plead the FIfth, because he cannot be convicted. He would have to tell what he knows on demand or go back to prison for contempt until he changed his mind.

If Trump doesn't pardon him, he would have no reason to be loyal to him. His concern then would be for his family and what Putin might do if he sings. Paul, as they say, is toast regardless of what happens next.

You have things completely backwards....and one wonders how this is possible. Don't you read history?

You said you read books on health. How about real history? I can point you to some if need be...

Or, maybe you just don't care about the difference between KGB/Putin/Stalin/Manafort and the values of our Republic?

Which one is it?
You couldn't be more wrong. Stalin and Mueller have locked people up for political purposes. Trump hasn't.

Mueller's merry band of butthurt angry Stalinists are using Stalinist methods to hurt people merely for political purposes.

This is all part of the plot in Andy's office to stop Trump as the record shows.

Right now making it as depressing as he can likely will help so Manafort's safety is primary, his health is next--
As long as he is isolated and had decent food I think his conditions might be pretty Spartan.
Let him ricochet off the bars in his five-by-eight for a couple of days with Bubba making goo-goo eyes at him form cell six like a lovesick cow, with no cell phone, WiFi, and no visitors except lawyers and the guards who check on him every fifteen minutes, and I would imagine he'll be ready for a change of scenery. There is just so much aesthetic value in a stainless toilet and a metal bunk to hold your interest. When the romance wears off and he realizes this is not a movie set, he will be more than happy to become known as Pancake Paul, Flipper Extraordinaire.

Mr. Trump may be laying the ground work, but my prior postings make clear, it is a mine field. People whom have been pardoned have nothing left to lose.

Imagine you're accused of a White collar crime you didn't commit. You've never had any criminal conviction in your lifetime. You text a friend using social media and say "We should talk" and you're imprisoned without bail? Not only is Mueller refusing to tell Manafort who the witnesses against him are, he's also refusing to share his evidence against the Russians with their attorneys AND it appears he withheld exculpatory evidence from the Flynn defense team as well. What in the hell is going on here? Mueller has gone full-on rogue. Thankfully liberals & civil libertarians are largely condemning Muller for this, but sadly the Neo-Progressives who support militarism, violence censorship, domestic spying, etc. seem to be celebrating. These people are about six steps to the right of Duck Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld.

Why would you wish this on someone who is presumed innocent? How sick are you to have gone this far off the deep end? There's nothing liberal about your mentality at all.

Did you actually just lump Manafort in with Stalin, the KGB and Putin? What happened to you?
