Nope, Reagan had championship teams to the White House.
It was Ronald Reagan, however, who made the practice of honoring championship teams at the White House a regular occurrence. Reagan had a cooler full of popcorn dumped on him by New York Giants linebacker Harry Carson, evoking the team's famous Gatorade celebration, in February 1987. The following year, Reagan threw a pass to Washington wide receiver Ricky Sanders.
How White House visits by championship teams became American tradition

Liberals praised pro sports players for not going to the White House to meet Trump. Trump removes the invite to a team and the liberals in the press are going nuts.

It's what's on the inside that counts.

Maybe Fox duped me into getting angry at the Philadelphia eagles for kneeling. I'm still disgusted with 9 Eagles vs the whole team showing good will, forgiveness, etc.

They spit in Trump's eye, they spit in mine.

Period.
There is nothing on the inside.

I don't see anyone going nuts. Most people think its funny that Trump uninvited the team after only 4 players and the mascot were going to show up. The only one going nuts was Trump and his childish behavior.

I also found his 10 minute "Celebration of America" to be pretty funny as well, especially watching Trump try to sing along with patriotic songs.

The press are upset at not having the photo of very few players meeting Trump so they can point out how many players refused to go. Trump realized how few were going to come so he canceled the event. Now the press are making the story the canceled event.

The media doesn't really need to do that, Trump does a great job of discrediting himself. Trump says/does, the media reports.

Did the media cancel Trumps little party?

Did the media make Trump lie, saying that the kneeled during the anthem?

The media, sorry, FOX, DID lie however, when that fallaciously used pictures of players praying in order to try and push Trump snarritive.

the cheeto assumes the team wants to go to the WH. finds out not all of them want to. goes nuts and has to cover the gaffe by lying (what else is new).

sarah sandbag lies to Americans for the cheeto. guess she doesn't have any other skills so she stays and lies, lies, lies.

the press are 'going nuts' about a president who is so childlike it truly does boggle the mind.

poor wittle Donny's ego took a blow today!

if he's so patriotic maybe he can learn the words to God Bless America!

The press isn't upset, TRUMP is upset, so he cancelled. His little fragile ego can't accept that not everyone bows down to him.
