They just don’t wanna meet a man they don’t like. Why walk into the WH with a friendly acting fake persona?
For the same reason that cop agreed to walk into the White House and meet with Obama and that black professor. Respect for the office.
It doesn't matter who is President, its the respect for the office.
No he is actually really intelligent and he is playing to his base. Trump is an idiot because he can't figure out how to leave the twitter alone or how to utter a phrase after first considering his words.
the reality is that since most people have not met trump, they also cannot explain why they hate trump. they use the bull crap posted in the media for their reasons why, but in reality they are relying on someone else for their hate.

That actually says more about you than it does them. They know very well why they do not like the president.
Go back and check the link to which rbohm was responding. It is 15-20 paragraphs full of quotes from players (and a coach--Steve Kerr). It is all a bunch of blather. Not ONE of them is able to articulate a reason for their negative feelings towards Trump. Not one.

Lebron should be worried about not getting swept in the finals again.
What a lovely country we live in were young uneducated multimillionaires get to use their sport as a platform for divisive political rhetoric, in the only country on earth that pays them insane amounts of money to shoot a ball through a hoop.

I read it and thought they were pretty clear on why they weren't going to go and why they have the opinion they have on Trump. Maybe they aren't the greatest at public speaking or giving interviews, but then Trump isn't either. Good for them for standing for what they believe in and being to articulate why they have those feelings. They knew this would be fodder for days on talk radio and Fox News, but they didn't back down from the questions.
Oh, when players backed out of going to see Obama or Clinton, I'm sure you right wingers damned them, too. Right?
I say good for them if they don't want to go. Who would want to visit the home of a fascist dictator wannabe anyway? Trump and his idiot followers are probably celebrating this and all the while failing to see the bigger picture of why this matters. Oh well, you can't fix stupid.
Everyone is aware of it. There were Nazis in that rally. And on the other side, people against the Nazis.
Sorry but if your standing with Nazis your not a very fine person. You probably should’ve broken off with said group. Even if you dont like liberals, your gonna stand with Neo Nazis?
You are being disingenuous here. Here is the exact quote from Trump:
“You had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists,” Trump said. “The press has treated them absolutely unfairly.”
“You also had some very fine people on both sides,” he said.
Trump obviously at the time believed that there were people who were just there to defend the existence of Civil War statues. In fact sentence one from the quote even explicitly says so.
He added moments later: "Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs — including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans."
The obvious question becomes: why lie about something that is so easily disproven by a minute w/ google? What exactly do you get out of that?
