I agree that neither side will leave the region and therefore both sides will have to compromise if there is ever to be peace.

There is no arguing with that. Israel never declared its borders, so as long as they claim to defend their security and state of israel they could do whatever they wish. In the future they could invade jordan if they have a reason to believe that it threatens their security.

Now that BDS and other people are pushing hard to boycott israel, they could even violate more international laws. What if vietnam and other countries get on the side with palestinians and decide to boycott israel . Israel can invade and force it to continue buying more from them (the u.s. did it so it must be ok, right?). And when those people protest, they are going to be treated as palestinians. There is no limit to what they could do, all they need to claim is that it is a threat to the existence of israel.
Some europeans leaders understand this, that is why they are trying to control israel before it's too late.

The Palestinians are far from peaceful, but neither is anyone else in that region. The Israelis are just as bad.
I hear ya. They can both go to the deuce for all I care. Now if we can just figure out a way to cut the foreign aid and weapons gifts to those punks we'd be doing alright.

The Palestinians may not have any sophisticated weapons, but they do have one annoying weapon: sewer/trash disposal.

Yes, the trash/sewage sometimes ends up on the beaches in Israel!

Bang! Gotcha! Take that!!
