If we had uncovered emails showing Obama meeting with Kenya officials discussing a "possible" birth cover up, emails showing Michelle accepting meetings with Hawaiian power player with link to the government who promised a fake birth certificate, meetings with known forgery experts (though we don't know what they discussed), then all the parties involved all LIED about it until confronted with evidence, and at least one of the parties involved are charged with tempering with witness.
If all of that had happened,then your analogy would make sense.
