Can you imagine the impression we are giving our allies in Afghanistan? Here we are, asking them to continue to work with us to help fight terrorism, and we give them inadequate tools, ammo from the 1960's that the Soviet Union was going to destroy as outdated. We turn around and buy it, then send it over to these guys.
And when an Army Col on the ground in Afghanistan complains about the crap being sent over, they send more of it. Even in the suspension, it is only for new work, the kid can still continue to execute this $300 million contract.
Absolutely disgusting, no excuse for this at all. The contract was very poorly written and executed, plus they didn't take corrective action when the deficiencies were clearly pointed out to the Army Contracting Officer.

Well said!
I'm sure it makes the Afghanistanians only dare to wonder how in the heck we run our country domestically. I'd be scared of "democracy" too!
