We keep hearing people say how screwed Trump is because someone may take a plea agreement. How is this any different? If there is a plea hearing, there must be something there, right?

Since 40 Democrats are involved in this, along with the former head of the DNC, there better be a very good reason to capture bigger fish for offering a plea deal. Otherwise the appearance is that it is yet another instance of politicians sweeping things under the rug so they don't get embarrassed or caught. I'd bet that you would see quite an uprising if this did not yield substantial results in terms of prosecution of the Awans and/or uncovering information leading to bigger fish. Read up on these guys and where they were positioned and what they did - pretty scary that no one ever vetted them.

I'll just wait until it actually resolves itself and then form an opinion.

We have wayyyy too many threads around where speculation is presented as fact and then ends in conclusions as if it had already occurred.

Sessions is such a useless RINO Swamp Creature. What about the rule of law? Why isn't he throwing the book at these people unless he's protecting them? A plea deal also means none of the details will ever become part of the public record. That's what this apparently is REALLY about...yet another so-called "Republican" carrying water for the Deep State cabal that is engaged in a coup attempt against our POTUS.

I'm sure the Awans were blackmailing all the Dems they hacked. This might be good news if their info is used in the future by Sessions and the Republicans. i.e. "Tell us everything you found out."

Here's an interesting opinion piece from Frank Minister at Fox News, who has been following this odd story from the beginning.

"The curious case of Imran Awan, which sounds like an international spy thriller, is entering its third act. Awan was a congressional IT aide to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., and he was finally fired just after he was arrested trying to fly to Pakistan last summer.

Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, were charged last summer with bank fraud. They now appear poised to strike a plea deal with the Department of Justice. A plea agreement hearing is set for July 3 before U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan in Washington, Fox News reported Wednesday"

Democrats' IT scandal set to explode with possible plea deal | Fox News
Complete opinion piece and did you notice the author just released a book.

Spotted this little tidbit in the Daily Caller:

Wasserman Schultz was also being investigated for intervening on a Pakistani land deal Awan was involved in with his father.

I wonder if Awan knows something about the Seth Rich murder.
