Personally, I like that marijuana is illegal in most states. Washington state made $319 million in marijuana revenue last year which goes to schools and drug treatment (the irony). More for us.

Who wants to bet the corrupt DEA will immediately come out totally against this bill?

One has to wonder what their agenda is at this point in regards to marijuana, public opinion has changed, their opinion doesnt hold any weight at all, its not about what THEY feel is best, is about serving the people.

Once an agency starts serving its OWN interests over the peoples, that agency has become rogue and is no better than a terrorist organization imo.

I can honestly say with pride, I believe the DEA is a terrorist organization.

Oh, of course they will. It's all about $$$. That's really the bottom line.

Its more about keeping their masters happy (the drug cartels).

If you notice, everything the DEA has ever had a hand in, ultimately it benefits the drug cartels.

I wish more people would recognize them for the scum of the earth, that they truly are.

So, drugs get a free pass but constitutionally-protected arms are still illegal on a federal level? This is a terrible idea. Drugs can easily grow from one state to another. That's why the EPA is need to some extent. NY should not be able to pollute a river that flows into NJ. Likewise, PA should not be able to allow the growing of drugs that will grow over in NJ or other states. To eliminate the horrible drug problem, we should look to countries that do it right like Japan and Malaysia. They don't have drug problems. More drugs is not the answer to our drug problems.

I agree, the government nor anyone else should have the authority to punish you for choosing to do what you want to do so long as it doesn't harm others. At the same time, we should be educated about the effects of these substances.

No legislation needed. Just sue the federal government for breach of the 10th Amendment.
