Former Senate Intel Committee security director indicted

June 7, 2018
by Edmund DeMarche, John Roberts | Fox News

A former security director for the Senate Intelligence Committee-- who was in charge of maintaining all classified information from the Executive Office to the panel-- was indicted for allegedly giving false statements to FBI agents looking into possible leaks to reporters, the Justice Department announced Thursday night. James A. Wolfe, 58, served as the panel's security director for 29 years, according to the feds.

Prosecutors said Wolfe lied to the FBI in December 2017 about contacts he had with three reporters. Prosecutors say he also lied about giving two reporters non-public information about committee matters.

Pieces to the puzzle like this may be key. This kind of thing looks like it may have really been the kindling that got this fishing expedition started.

People who talk to the FBI ....are just the biggest idiots around. You have to wonder what in the hell is wrong with some people. You don’t answer questions from cops! Especially not from a bunch of swamp rats like the FBI!

That Awan apparently cut a deal and handed over everything he knew so you can expect more dem fallout or at least a complete backdown against Trump.

The Security Director for the Senate Select Committee "shouldn't" be passing classified information to reporters - I believe 4 reporters are listed now.

This all clears up the very quiet meeting and vote that this same committee took Wednesday evening (unanimous) to "cooperate" with the DOJ. I certainly hope that means we won't have multiple hard drives implode or destroy themselves on sudden unexplained fires of files.
