No. It's a vendor being honest about his religious beliefs and how they preclude entering into a contract with said individuals for said specific purpose.
Look I realize you really wish to, but you can't eradicate First Amendment rights.
What the hell is with lefties trying to eradicate Constitutional Rights, anyway? Does it bother you all THAT much that other people have freedoms, and among those is the Freedom of Religion? The baker didn't try to stop the couple from getting married. He just declined to participate in the process due to his religious beliefs (First Amendment Right, by the way).
Re: your bolded straw man: who is claiming the baker was trying to stop the couple from getting married?
In an earlier time (although not ancient history) some folks were not trying to stop children from getting an education, they were claiming however that 'separate but equal' was good enough.
Those folks were likely being "honest about their beliefs" religious or otherwise.
& wouldn't you say being told 'we don't serve your kind when you marry' is being subjected to indignities?
Or just give cute little answers and hurl insults?
This guy has the right to post his no gays allowed sign for a simple reason: No law in his state or city prevent discriminating against gays. His employees can't post signs unless the owner gives his ok.
Even where there are anti-discrimination laws for sexual orientation, a business owner can post signs saying Gay marriage is a sin, Marriage = man & woman, Homosexuality is a choice. Employees cant do that.
As a private citizen a business owner can choose not to eat at a lunch counter where there's a black person, a man wearing a yarmulke, a woman wearing a hijab, a nun, or men holding hands and kissing. As a business owner he can't refuse service to the black person, Jew, Muslim, or Christian, and in states or cities with laws for sexual orientation, to the men holding hands and kissing.
Re: your bolded straw man: who is claiming the baker was trying to stop the couple from getting married?
No one. All that happened is that a vendor declined to enter into a contractual agreement with other people, which he as a closely held business owner has the Constitutional Right to do.
Wouldn't you say being told 'we don't serve your kind when you marry' is being subjected to indignities?
That's not what they were told. Lots of businesses discriminate by age and sometimes even by gender. Some private schools are single-sex only, females or males. It just means they don't produce goods/provide services for (insert ☓, here).

(I'm going out now ~ it's a bee-you-tifull day where I am, have a nice day & a pleasant tomorrow! )
It's in the Supreme Court Documents, according to the point conceded by both sides, Phillips (the baker) declined their (the couple's) request, explaining that he would not make a custom wedding cake for them because of his Christian beliefs, but that he would be happy to sell them any other baked goods.

I want to know who the homophobes are so I can avoid giving them my money. I say let them have their signs up so we can avoid shopping there.
I certainly don't want to support christian businesses. Christians hate. That's what they do. Why would I want to force them to stealth up and con me out of supporting their businesses?
If attitudes, such as that of the shop owners, proliferate, you will soom be riding in the back of the bus.
It's a ridiculously absurd analogy. No one is making anyone "sit in the back of the bus." People are just disengaging/declining to enter into business contracts in legal and Constitutional ways.
You all really do not want to throw the 13th Amendment out the window and return to living in a country in which labor against one's will is forced/coerced.
