True. I believe many racist whites voted for him because they secretly hoped he’d be way more New Deal than he ended up being. He went hard on liberal social issues, but he completely misread the room on economics.

He never went hard on liberal social issues. You don't help.

Yes he did. Maybe not by some standards, but his policies on LBGTQ issues were far left of the majority of Americans.

He had no policies there. That was addressed in the courts.

Your slip is showing.

Reagan was the governor of California. At least that’s executive experience.

Of which Trump has had none.

O.K. you want to argue that Obama was not well rounded, but neither is Trump.

Obama directed federal protection for transgendered people in schools, the workplace and the military. Under his administration all schools in America that recieved federal funding had to allow transgendered students use of the bathroom of their choice. That’s way, way left of public opinion in states like Alabama and Texas. That’s even further left than many in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin are comfortable with. Trump’s election was blowback from Obama’s policies on social issues. He was too far left in some ways, and not nearly far enough left on economic issues.

Do you understand what governors do? They’re pretty much like presidents of their respective states. It is great experience for the job of president.

Saying he allowed six people use their restroom of choice doesn't even rise to a minor consideration.
