the point is that society and government are pushing the latest tech (which is a good thing), without making sure it is secure (the bad part)…. and a contractor CAN and SHOULD secure its network

Its not following protocol. Back in the 1980s I did contract work repairing computer equipment. One day I got a terminal from a well known military facility that dealt with arms development. Taped to the terminal was the phone number for their main frame, a user login and password.
So, you are a clear lefty....do you want the military budget cut?
