As of May, the black unemployment rate is 2.4 points higher than the white unemployment rate, the first time it has ever been less than 3 points higher.
How much of this is a function of Trump’s leadership is unclear, as is the effort to determine the relationship between any president and major economic indicators. Since he has been president, the overall unemployment rate has fallen one point, and the black unemployment rate has fallen nearly two points.
They just can't give Trump credit. But the fact that they use the word "unclear" (instead of outright denying Trump is responsible) implies that it is slowly sinking in.
The Leftwing media can try to downplay Trump’s success all they want but the public is figuring out their dishonesty and seeing right through them.
I guess the Left’s narrative that he is a racist is going to fall on deaf’s ears for many more blacks come election 2020.
Don’t count on it.
African Americans despise Trump, and they’ll despise him just as much in 2020. The OP can put all the lipstick on that pig that he wants (since he’s supposedly black), but there will be no appreciable increase in black support for Trump EVER. It ain’t gonna happen.
If things are as peachy as you all claim they are, we still aren’t gonna give Trump the credit. Perish the thought. We know better.

So here’s a bucket of cold water.
I'd be surprised if Black people supported any Republican to any real degree. And if there is one thing the Democrats have done successfully, it's brand Trump as racist.
Still he does have some growing support. 4 to 6% support used to be the average, and it has crept up to 10 - 15%, both with 75% disapproval. The "we know better" effect is still full on. And people who "know better" will never change their mind. http://thefederalist.com/2018/05/11/...one-democrats/
