If you fail to do any of the requirements and are removed from the registered voter rolls...uhm, go re-register? Another solution.

You could vote and not worry about any of this at all. Yet another solution.

Nobody is losing their right to vote. All this does is make voting in Ohio harder for dead people and those who no longer live in Ohio and haven't for years. Dead people and those who move out of state get removed, voter reg rolls get cleaned up, Ohio elections are more accurate to the will of actual, living Ohio voters.

Not seeing the problem?
Spot on post.

SC got this decision correct, and has had a maga-nificient year so far.

JANUS soon.

No, it's NOT a good idea. It's a mean, underhanded way to suppress the vote.

Most people vote only in presidential elections, every four years. That means that most people will automatically be dropped. A fair route might have been to drop them after nine years.

That would be awesome, hopefully he finds more young Strict Constitutionalists like Gorsuch, who will serve America several decades more.

You are mistaken, this isn’t about taking deceased off the voting records, they are removing people that haven’t voted in 2 years.

They will not be dropped if they vote once every four years. If they do NOT vote once every four years, AND they fail to return the confirmation card back to the state within that time, they will THEN be dropped.

Default Wrong Again Goodnight. Ohio's Actual Policy

This is Ohio's policy, upheld as Constitutional by the Supreme Court.

Actual policy:
Quote:
Under Ohio's policy, if registered voters miss voting for two years, they are sent registration confirmation notices. If they do not respond and do not vote over the following four years, they are removed from the rolls.
Try 6+ plus years, not 2 years. Geesh.

The op indicated they are notified after 2 years and removed if no response within 2 years. I was responding to a claim of dead people voting, a favorite claim of the red states. If you don’t vote for 2 or 4 years are you dead? What is the issue with dormant records, not enough storage space on the servers?

Yet another ploy by the GOP. Yes upheld 5-4, not a glowing affirmation but we can thank Gorsuch.

.
You could very well have moved, and an ideologue will vote in your place.

It is a 6 year process, 2 years before notice goes out, 4 more years of non-use is sole way you get purged.

It is actually too long, s/b 2 additional years post notice for the purge.

MAGA
