It doesn't. It's just standard Liberal propaganda and disinformation.

It people can't even grasp the basics of such a simple issue, it's not likely they'll understand deeper more complex issues.

Your statement is also factually incorrect, since students attending college in other States can register to vote in that State, as soon as they meet the basic residency requirements.

Most people vote only in presidential elections, every four years. That means that most people will automatically be dropped. A fair route might have been to drop them after nine years.

They are dropped after 6 years of refusing to vote and also refusing to notify their County Board of Elections that they are still active, by returning the letter that is mailed to them after two years, or by counting the County Board of Elections on their own accord at some point.

It's shocking really, that so few are totally incapable of grasping the rudiments of this simple law.

Yet another ploy by the GOP. Yes upheld 5-4, not a glowing affirmation but we can thank Gorsuch.
Apparently it is six years total (2 years + 4 years). I stand corrected.

what makes you THINK that most people only vote every four years... or is that simply the liberal elitist view because only the potus is important

I vote in EVERY election... because the "small votes" are what really count and effect the individual

Exactly, and why do people who write these laws want to take the right to vote away from my 134 year old great grandmother in Detroit?

  4. Plus any runoff election
  5. Federal and state general election (mid term)
  6. City and county electionsPlus any runoff election
  7. Presidential primary (with federal and state primaries) election
  8. Plus any runoff election
  9. Presidential, federal and state general election
So over a four year period, a person would have to skip an estimated 9 elections, assuming no referendums and no replacement elections outside of the above schedule, and at least one runnoff for each non-general election.

Just skipping one vote because you do not care for anyone on the ballot one time will not get you thrown off the registration rolls. You have to establish a pattern and practice of not voting.
Many people only vote in Presidential elections and skip the rest.

Because sitting on the voter rolls costs so much money.

Come on. Either make it a federal requirement to vote (allow people to vote by mail and make voting day a national holiday) or quit trying to disenfranchise voters.

That's so shady.

What is your idea of disenfranchised?

This decision probably prevents a lot of fake votes to be cast.
