The latest attempt to not turn over evidence in the Russian meddling case is only going to further discredit Mueller, and drop his support across the board.

Poll shows Mueller’s public image at all-time low

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s public image has sunk to an all-time low since he began his probe into possible collusion between the Trump 2016 presidential campaign and Russia, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll.

Mueller’s unfavorable numbers have hit highs among both Democrats and independents, at 24 percent and 33 percent, respectively. Thirty-six percent of all registered voters are also seeing Mueller unfavorably, which represents the highest level since the polling first raised the topic 11 months ago.

"Robert Mueller’s disapproval rating is at its highest point since Morning Consult and Politico began tracking the Special Counsel,” said Tyler Sinclair, Morning Consult’s managing director. “A key driver of this movement appears to be Republicans. Today, 53 percent of Republicans have an unfavorable impression of Robert Mueller, compared to just 27 percent who said the same in July 2017."

The spike in the special counsel’s unfavorable ratings come as he begins his second year on the job.

Voters interviewed for the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll also have changed direction on whether they think the Mueller investigation has been on the up and up. In the latest survey, 40 percent of voters said it had been handled unfairly, compared to early February when 34 percent said the probe wasn’t being handled fairly.

He's an investigator. Not a politician. His public approval doesn't matter.

The 40 percent claiming it's been handled unfairly don't know what they're talking about. None of us really know anything.

Why would Mueller care about opinion polls? Has he decided to run for some sort of office?

To Trump supporters, who are currently grasping at straws, it means EVERYTHING. It's a means to distract from the investigation of their messiah. For an investigation that, according to them, is such a "nothingburger" they sure throw a lot of hate towards Mueller for something as simple as him doing his job. I wonder why that is?

Mueller was already retired from government.

He left a more lucrative private sector (after government) job to head up this investigation.

Agree and it all comes down to the same simple question, if trump is innocent they why not just meet with Mueller?

And polls will not affect the Mueller investigation one whit. He is doing his job and most likely couldn't give a rat's azz about what people think.

There's no denying this trend, it's real, the polling companies can not longer deny it, Mueller's support is steadily dropping.
So?
