Lots of luck with that.
I'll do it myself if you pay the market wage.

People will do ANYTHING if you offer the market wage. What people like you call a "labor shortage" is really a compensation shortage. Pay them, and they will work.

What does news have to do with anything? And the most elementary understanding of economics tells us we have enough Americans to do "the job". If we didn't, we'd produce more. The market has spoken.

Does this mean that you are in favor of raising the minimum wage?

Are you really this clueless? There already are unlimited visas for legal, foreign crop pickers because it's not a career job for Americans and is only seasonal work. Illegal aliens and in some cases legal immigrants have taken jobs from Americans by working for less. We have no shortage of American workers to do most any job for a "fair" wage.

We do not advocate for that here in the U.S. Even Christianity has evolved from primitive times. Our laws and politics do reflect much of what the Ten Commandments preach. Is that a bad thing? I don't think so!

Not coincidentally, that same verse was used to defend slavery.

At some point, their true colors always come shining through.

That verse may have been written for a specific time and place and not for all time. And of course if your name is King James what would you want people to think God says about your government? Snatching children from their mothers is doing God's work now?

Also this has been used to support the 'divine right of kings' theory, which would have been justification enough to put down the Founding Fathers in our own glorious American Revolution.

What Sessions is claiming here is that his personal decisions are God's will, that would make him a prophet of God, which somehow doesn't fit with what we know so far.

Better for him had he quoted Matthew 25:35-36.

A fair and compassionate government should be obeyed, but a malicious and spiteful government should be changed.

"I, the LORD, command you to do what is just and right. Protect the person who is being cheated from the one who is cheating him. Do not mistreat or oppress aliens, orphans, or widows; and do not kill innocent people in this holy place."
An admonition to the government of Judah by Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 22:3

You must not exploit or oppress a foreign resident, for you yourselves were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
Exodus 22:21

Really the modern day conservative has more in common with the Taliban than they don't and they are quickly getting more and more extreme. The similarities are much more stark now than they were a decade ago.
