Yes... sort of...

Er actually the increases followed the tariffs on LG and Samsung (Trumps target). About 2 weeks after LG and Samsung went up, US made Whirlpool, GE, and Frigidaire followed suit 50 to 100 dollars a unit.

Dishwashers and Fridges have been creeping up but not nearly as much and there are still nice bargains available. The cheapo special washer used to be 299.00 most of the time, it is now 379.00 most of the time... but with a dishwasher you can get a NICE stainless interior dishwasher for 399.00 in white or black still if you shop the right sale. 449 with a stainless front. A bit higher on the stainless but the white and black are the same.

Pretty sure that poster is not disputing the validity of the Post, just anticipating those that will.

Notice down there in the second chart shown of countries with the LOWEST tariffs...…..The U.S. is NOT on the chart while that "security threat" and dastardly unfair trading partner; Canada IS with an overall rate of tariff exactly HALF that of the U.S.

You should also have noticed that the EU overall tariff rate is exactly the same as the U.S.'s.

So, you are saying that the hundreds of billions lost due to the trade deficit was helping consumers? How does that work?

How did you lose by purchasing a more inexpensive product?

That's a given.

A lot of Trump's base shop at Walmart.
With Trump's $50 billion in tariffs on Chinese goods, prices at Walmart are going up.

Wait until the Trump Base finds out they are paying a hidden TAX INCREASE. A tariff is nothing more than a border tax.
