That actually sounds about right. Mexico doesn’t really bother with too many formalities when it comes to North American residents. They spend too much money down there to bother deporting them. As long as you stay outta trouble, they don’t really care how up to date your documentation is. Just keep spending a bazillion pesos.
Every time I drive down to Mexico, I’m always amazed at the amount of Americans and Canadians that live there. Americans live quite well on $1000 a month in Social Security. That’s about $18,000 pesos a month in a nation where the average Mexican has to get by on 2000 pesos a month or less.
Truthfully, I don’t think United States immigration authorities go around chasing wealthy illegal residents of this country either...and I’m sure there are plenty who overstay their permitted time to be here.
stop sticking your noses in other countries business like Obama did with Brexit.
I think America has enough problems of its own to be going on with, start with getting rid of Hilary C. time she was pensioned off.

Still worried about Hillary? Fire Trump and be done with it. He has insulted practically everyone on the planet and seems to get away with it. (except known dictators.) I think he would look lovely in a jumpsuit of orange. I wonder who would do his hair in prison???????
Obviously Canada has been taking advantage of the U.S. with their tariffs. Trump putting tariffs on their products is a way of getting them to the bargaining table. My guess is Trump talked to Trudeau who wasn't wiling to take tariffs off our products. This is a minor spat that can be fixed, along with NAFTA which is a bigger issue but solvable. It would be better for both countries is Trump and Trudeau didn't have such an acrimonious relationship. I'm no fan of Trudeau and blame him mostly but Trump is a little prickly himself.
When it comes to unfair trade I'll quote a recent guest on C-span's Washington Journal - "It's about China, China, China." That will be a monster of a negotiation to work out, as China wont be willing to work through it because they are making way too much money with their unfair trade policies. Plus, negotiating with China isn't easy as you can't trust what they saw, they renege on deals. I've heard business owners say they had a deal to sell products in that country then found out they didn't. The Chinese say one thing and do another.
