Bad for morale, conduct unbecoming, toxic to the chain of command.

Pretty much a no brainer he got bounced, and he would seem to agree with me.

Not a fan of anyone that is against this country and way of life. Comrad. And hell yes... I am a big fan of the constitution, I served 6 years as a USMC officer. I am all for free speech but some have consequences.

Read the fine print of the enlistment or commissioning paperwork. First thing you agree to is being governed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and not the US Constitution. Raise your right hand and repeat after me....

He absolutely could have been given a Dishonorable discharge per the sentencing after a court martial. Officers have a much higher conduct standard than enlisted, and they agree to be bound by that when they take their oath. His OTH was a gift.

Common misunderstanding is the whole constitutional rights thing for people who serve in the military. The UCMJ and all that fine print they agree/swear to is their government. Whole different system, by design, and everyone who is governed by it agreed voluntarily, and had to do so like a dozen separate times and on tons of documents.

2nd Lt CrapForBrains agreed to all of it and then violated the terms of the deal. OTH was a gift.

We do swear to support and defend the constitution.
