Great location.
They need to raise the rent and get fair market value from countries wanting to occupy the space.

The UN Human Rights Council is based in Geneva.

A lot of the UN is based in Switzerland, however Vienna in Austria, and Italy also host a number of UN Organisations, as does Germany, as well as the NYC HQ and Washington DC.

List of United Nations organizations by location - Wikipedia

There are also lots of countrries that haveone or two UN Agencies, such as the UK only hosts one UN Organisation, the International Maritime Organisation, and this is mainly due to the fact that English Maritime and Admiralty law became the basis for international maritime law and the UK has a significant maritime heritage and history.

The UN is far too big and involves a lot of agencies that don't seem to justify the expense or which are biased such as the UN Human Rights Council.

THAT is what you're supporting in your post because you have no understanding of their track record and just pile on because Trump is a D-bag.
Yeah I'm not sure that it is such a great place to be. That's not the hypocrisy. The hypocrisy is the nerve those two people had to stand there and proclaim some high and mighty stuff about the USA while kids are being purposely used as tools in their immigration policy agenda.

AND -- like hugging a brutal dictator , sometimes you have to sit at the table with the devil to have a bigger impact.

But that aside -- the hypocrisy right now is not good optics for the USA with most of its citizens AND the rest of the world.

We are officially now part of the cesspool along with countries admired by Trump like North Korea.

Shame on America.

In reality, it's bloc voting by a number of countries to make sure they don't get criticized for Human Rights violations....and only Israel does.

So basically, you're calling someone a Dictator for not taking part in an organization that helps cover up the human rights abuses of dictators.

Many of the worst offenders in the world are on the "Human Rights" Council. Such stalwart defenders of human rights:
Algeria
Bangladesh
China
Cuba
Kazakhstan
Qatar
Russia
Saudi Arabia
United Arab Emirates
Venezuela

All of these states are known to be serious human rights violators. In the recent past, even Iran, Syria, and Erdogan's Turkey have been on the council.

see http://www.frontpagemag.com/2013/jos...ouncil-circus/
"the Human Rights Council, which is dominated by Islamist states and their allies, stacks the deck against Israel, which has been subject to FAR MORE condemnations by the Human Rights Council than Iran, Sudan, Syria and other serial human rights violators combined."

"Israel is the only country listed on the Human Rights Council’s permanent agenda. Moreover, it is the only country subjected to an investigatory mandate that examines the actions of only one side to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict – Israel – and presumes the Jewish state to be guilty, while giving Hamas, Hezbollah and their state sponsors a free pass."

Active extermination programs are underway:
Darfur/South Sudanese conflict
Yazidis in Iraq
Burmese ethnic cleansing
Ethnic violence in Assam, India
Syrian civil war & ethnic cleansing
Civil war in the Central African Republic
War crimes in Uganda by the LRA
War crimes in Iraq
War crimes in Sri Lanka
War crimes in Syria including multiple gassings
Rabaa massacre in Egypt
Etc.

When it comes to the crimes committed by brutal dictatorships who sit on the UNHRC, or crimes committed by allies of these regimes, the UNHRC is blind.

Israel is also the only member of the UN which is denied membership on the UNHRC.

The ENTIRE damned council should be disbanded. The western Europeans are hypocrites and should be shamed by their participation in this farce.

How much more asinine can you be??? When you post something like this, people know you have ZERO credibility.

From Africa, Asia, Europe to South America, the world is mostly run by brutal thugs who have no problem with slaughtering their own citizens to secure their own power.

The human rights council has no moral standing on human rights issue as the vast majority of its members are thugs and gangsters, who are the worst human rights abusers.

It's like a sheep tries to vote again a pack of wolves.

rings?
You mean sold to sex rings operating out of pizza parlor basements....because the tenor of your post is right along those lines.
