I must have missed it as other than the voluntary personal bio i dont see where i;m being asked for what my profession is
Also when i got my $500 prize the only thing asked for was my mailing address to send the cheque

People who treat politics like it's the NFL. They have their team, other people follow a different team.

Lots of yelling, taunting, name calling, blaming, jeering.

Winners and losers change every 8 years. Even though the teams use the same playbook, the fans don't notice. So even though things pretty much stay the same no matter which team is winning/losing, the fans don't notice. Still think that their team is the BEST and BRIGHTEST and the other team is a bunch of idiots.

And if their team is losing, throughly believe things would *magically* change if only their team was winning/had won.

I'd say that it's got a wide range of political views but at any one time has about 30 active posters that are so mentally ill with politics that they can't carry on a rational or intelligent conversation. Once you put them on ignore, it cleans up a lot of the discussion boards but still makes it tough to have a good discussion at times as they'll rush in and start calling Obama a commie or Trump a Nazi back and forth garbage.

You also have full fledged racists (and not just white), but those tend to get banned on their own with thier posts.

I'd describe the PO&C forum as mostly informative, especially learning how posters from other parts of the country and walks of life feel about a given political issue. however, I would also describe this forum as having more mentally ill and verbally abusive posters than other forums on c-d. ignore is a necessary option on this forum to eliminate those posters that consistently add nothing but rants and personal insults to any topic of discussion.

Mostly informative and fun but with those who will destroy an innocuous thread with negativity.
