Exactly - most parks havce wardens and rangers whose job it is to look after the park.
Why people get so triggered these days is beyond me.
It's the same with Permit Patsy, an 8 year old selling bottled water is not a police matter, it's a matter for the Local Authority and Trading Standards in my country. Although I doubt much action would actually be taken.
I appreciate your effort however I have never suggested that barbecue Becky was a good example of someone performing their civic duty.... in fact I have repeatedly referred to her in a negative light... the whole point of my original post refers to law enforcement and political reactions to the social justice warrior interdiction of Michelle Snider and the subsequent capitchiulatlion of the oakland politicians....thus adding fuel to backlash that eventually led to the election of [in my opinion] the most dangerous president in American history Donald Trump.
The police don't have to respond to every call they get, they have professionals who allocate the response based on the "seriousness" of the call... an armed response is not necessarily required for every police call in fact there are security guards and park Rangers and many other levels of law enforcement...
sometimes they even call the Park maintenance staff to go check out a complaint
those of you that have no experience is park services should be forgiven for not understanding the facts.
I have 20 years or professional park services experience from ditch digger to officer class 2, I know the law.
MOST of the people who have responded to this thread AND the oakland politicians apparently do not UNDERSTAND THE LAW or have chosen not to RESPECT AND/OR ENFORCE THE LAW.
Ok I get your point. Law officers should enforce laws regardless of whether they make sense or are popular. The rule of law requires just that. However if the public hates the law, does not respect it or it does not make sense then it should be repealed. I know California is an environmentalist nut state but I have never heard of wacky laws like that. Grilling in parks is very normal behavior here. This thread is just another lesson in why I would not want to ever go to California. IMO they need to reform thier nanny state laws, those politicians commenting are undermining thier own city laws and that is ridiculous. Even more ridiculous is the fact that they will leave unwanted and unenforceable laws on the books.
It’s kind of funny though watching those two looser SJW attack each other The only normal people involved in this video were the dangerous park criminals lol.....those with the grill.
Charcoal is banned in some parks for a very good reason discarded coals can severely injure children athletes and Wildlife not to mention kill the grass also vagrants Target these parks and make encampments in the woods they create fires that burn down forests and local housing along with themselves.
All these things contribute to a hudge waste of tax money and emergency services....
Your government dosent write stupid laws. They exist for very good reasons. Sometimes they are corrupt
(drug war) but they are ALWAYS very well thought out and planned.

I'm sorry, but you just lost all your credibility with this, particularly the portion in red. I am no anarchist, but to say that there are no stupid laws is the most blatantly authoritarian BS I have ever read.
I hope this comment was satire. I fear that it was not.
This is not an LE matter, call the park rangers or code enforcement, the police in Oakland have bigger fish to fry than dealing with this nonsense.
It wasn't a law enforcement matter till michelle snider that social justice warrior showed up then you had a potentially violent situation.
Park maintenance could have sortided it out... Logistics of law enforcement 101....the police received a stupid call like this, they then call the Park superintendent he sends one of his lawn care guys over to talk to the crazy lady and see if the police need to come deal with her case closed.
there are a lot of reasons you shouldn't confront emotionally unstable people, this is a great example how social justice Warriors incite problems and inflame situations they must NEVER be rewarded for their actions, Michelle snider is being celibrated as a hero and oakland politicians are advising people not to report... thats a VERY bad example to set!

No kidding. She took it from recording someone to full blown psycho towards the end of the video.

describe a "stupid" law and I'll tell you a CORRUPT or LEGITIMATE reason why it exists, I'm happy to help.
a lot of people think banning charcoal and a park is stupid obviously they've never worked in a park.

In your opening post, Becky was right.
Now she's unstable.
I've pretty much given up on trying to sort out your position here.
No kidding. She took it from recording someone to full blown psycho towards the end of the video.
I agree that she took it too far. As I said in my first post, I wouldn't want either of these women at my next party. Both of them were acting like nuts.
