Bernie, the socialist is making over a million for second year in a row and in 2016 he got another home added to the two mansions he already owned.

Socialism works well if your Name is Bernie Sanders. Cadillac health included.
You prefer that he be like Trump and only care about making the billionaires richer?

You don't understand that being rich and caring about the poor are not mutually exclusive. A rich person who doesn't care about the poor just says I made it why can't you like Trump does. You don't have to be poor to care about them, you just have to be a decent human being with compassion.

I voted for Bernie, even wrote him in for president. I never heard him once say he would prevent Americans from earning money and spending it on what they enjoy. What lost my interest was when he backed Hilary after being so unfairly treated by the party. I think he lost a lot of us because of that.

So far not impressed with any candidate hopeful of the left. I hope they get their crap together, but I'm in doubt 100% after watching them this year. Bernie is definitely a losing ticket now. Bernie's crowd just desperately wanted a non profit healthcare system. I think whoever offers that will grab the momentum.

When the choice was Hillary or Trump he didn't really have a choice. He clearly did the right thing.

Lets see. Bernie is against out-sourcing and is pro-union. Trump institutes steel tariffs to protect the american unionized steel workers I guess Trump is a socialist.

Trump's trade policies are definitely more left leaning than right leaning. Same with Bernie but at least he admits it. People on the right are supposed to be free traders. Whatever happened to that? Trump will turn out to be a disaster for the American economy. Bernie would have been just as bad.

Are you kidding me? The amount of power a senator has is enormous. You dont judge the puppets that you vote for when they take bribe money from Wall Street and push their agenda?

Which member of Congress is more clean than Sanders? The vast majority is swimming in bribe cash from the most powerful special interests in the country while Bernie is out there fighting for the common man, because he is his own man, not tied to the ruling donor class.

Self proclaimed “poorest of Congress, made over a million for second year in a row! Socialist Bernie!

I'm sure he'll turn his new millions over to the government any day now, following his socialist convictions that the govt will take care of it much more wisely than the person who earned it (i.e. Bernie) will.

Yup, any day now, he'll do that. Yup.

BTW, he already turned over last year's millions, right? I mean, he's had plenty of time to do that, and all...... right?

It's pearls before swine for him in America. I admire how he keeps trying to enlighten Americans, but he is wasting his time.

If you are quite serious we would like to export him to your country, along with his log cabins.

Do you guys have tariffs on imports.

Congress, meanwhile, is a club that consists of 245 millionaires. Based on 2009 data, there are currently 66 in the Senate and 179 in the House (among current voting members

I wonder how many of those 245 millionaires in congress were millionaires when the entered office and how many made their millions off inside trading.

Wow. You have a very interesting way of thinking. It's delightful for me to see such intelligent Americans here on city-data.

Do you think Bernie should wear a hair shirt, and sandals at all times, and never have any money of his own? Every penny earned should be handed over to the poor?

Would you vote for him if he did this? Would that be enough for you?

Something tells me you voted for Donald Trump. I bet you admire everything he does don't you? I guess decent people like Bernie Sanders deserve your derision. After all, he is a socialist isn't he, who wants a better life for ordinary Americans, instead of the rich?

Not the American way huh?........
