Todays govt is tyrannical imo.

The only reason why the public has not revolted is, this 'change' has been in the works and methodically planned out over so many years, majority of people mistake it for safety or security and believe its being done for their benefit, or to keep them safe.

The drug war is a PRIME example, they dont enforce or create drug laws because they care about our health and safety. lol

Wish this was taught in schools.
I watched this video again. Even judging from the same premises of the video you can conclude the amercan form of government is an oligarchy. It gives the example of how rome went from a republic to democracy to oligarchy:
- exceed of power by politicians.
- subsidies
- welfare programs
- taxes rises
- control over the private sector
This has already happened and people didn't pay attention, the consequence is a tyranny of the elite. The reason it hasn't collapsed is because of the financial system that didn't exist in roman time. Now the loses can be spread about the world by forcing [military bases around the world] to use dollars and buy american debt [which the u.s. probably don't plan on paying].

Democracies, the individual has no rights, NONE. The democrat collective can vote them away.

A Constitutional Republic, has a contract, stating the scope, and the means, before the vote starts.

Lots of countries have constitutions with laws protecting peoples rights, whilst other countries have enshrined human rights in to their laws and have legal systems based around the concepts of Magna Carta and Habeas Corpus. Furthermore the US Constitution can be changed through Amendement.
