We live in a society where EVERYONE is innocent until proven guilty.
But that's the problem with the #metoo phenomenon, once the accusation is made you are guilty. Want to take out an old boyfriend who's moved on, tag him with a rape accusation on Twitter. This has too much of the witch hunt about it...and I don't know why society is so susceptible to them. We have the Russian fairy tale and #metoo running concurrently, it says something about us.
Maynard from Tool is accused of raping a 17 year old groupie. Barely a rock star in the last 40 years who doesn't have at least one story he couldn't be #metooed over. Things could get interesting if anything comes of this.
That is because her dad never told her, that there is only one thing on a boys mind, as she was growing up. To prepare her for the situation she got herself into.
I blame her parents for not educating and teaching her about boys & men, and what she has they want the most in the world.
In her Twitter thread, the woman describes attending a A Perfect Circle/Nine Inch Nails concert with her boyfriend, and they were near the stage. Keenan, also the lead singer for opening band APC, allegedly spotted her in the crowd while performing and sent one of his crew members to go get her from the audience. Keenan would have been 36 years old at the time.
I'm not saying this particular woman (as she's much older now) is telling the truth or lying but as soon as you come in here with that MGTOW crap, you pretty much have to concede that all men are rapists... again, using your logic.
I don't think all men are rapists, nor that all women are any given way.

I have no clue if she consented to sex with this guy or not, but what about dads teaching men not to rape women?
I mean, yes... women should be taught not to trust that a guy will be keeping his hands to himself, but should we not be teaching our sons not to rape women?

#AWALT is the reply to this default "guilty until proven innocent, because all men are bad" line of reasoning that gives #metoo the power to destroy lives and careers with merely an accusation and not a shred of proof.
So every #metoo story posted will get the #AWALT reply from me because if all men are guilty until proven innocent, then so are all women.
